How To

How to make a perfect eggroll

Omelets are one of my favorite foods to eat at breakfast. But how do you make them perfectly? I have tried many different recipes and methods, but none of them work. So I am sharing some tips and tricks today to help you make fluffy, delicious omelets every morning.

When making omelets, it is important to be aware that eggs can be temperamental. Eggs must be purchased fresh, preferably organic, and kept chilled until ready for cooking. The yolks and whites will not form properly if they aren't kept cold enough. Your omelets will look strangely colored if this happens. If you plan to cook the eggs right away, it is best to use room temperature eggs.

You can also separate the egg before you add it to the pan. Because this could cause your omelet to become curdled, you don't want any yolk to be mixed with any white.

You might burn the bottom of the egg if you place the egg directly on the stovetop. This could ruin the texture of your omelet. Instead, heat the egg for 10 seconds in the microwave before placing it in the pan. The microwave heat cooks your egg just right, without it becoming too soft.

Let's now talk about mixing eggs. Mix eggs well together. You can do this by turning the bowl of your mixer upside down. Next, shake the bowl vigorously. The egg will be thoroughly mixed in the bowl as the air is whipped.

Now comes the fun part: adding the milk to your mixture. First, pour half of the milk into the beaten eggs and then fold the eggs gently into the remaining milk. Do not be alarmed if there are still egg streaks visible. Once the omelet flips, these streaks will disappear.

After you have folded your eggs, heat up the oil on medium heat. Wait for it to get hot. Once the oil has gotten hot, add 1/4 cup of butter and swirl it around so that the entire pan is coated. Open the lid and sprinkle salt on the pan. The salt will help to prevent the omelet's sticking to the pan.

Cover the pan once the omelet is formed and allow it to cool completely. Flip the omelet by using a spatula. Cook the other side for another minute or two. Take the omelet out of the pan and immediately serve.

This recipe is best made with whole milk. However, it can also be used with skimmed milk.
